The new Mr & Mrs tied the knot at the gorgeous Mooloolaba Spit on the Sunshine Coast. Their photos were taken at Mooloolaba & Buderim.

I will do an update post with a gallery full of images after the gorgeous pair return from their amazing honeymoon together.

I will update with all the vendors involved in this wedding including the florist, hair, makeup, musician, photo booth, reception venue & much more.

LOVE this  last image here of the Kiss between dad & his daughter before the “i-do’s” so precious – such a tender moment!

We traveled down to Brisbane on the weekend to visit family & to celebrate my nieces birthday on the way there I saw some gorgeous leaves in a car park which inspired a shoot of my own babies, so before we got back into the car – we had a mini play down at Brett’s Wharf in the city.

I introduce to the big wide internet world – Lachlan (ages 6) this child is my gummy bear & he is LARGER than life.

I also introduce to you my baby (aged 4) Jordan the cheeky one!

Emma contacted me a little while ago to take up the offer on our generous mothers day promotion. Emma had seen my work through a few of her friends who have had photos done by Jodie Greck Photography…

We met on a beautiful private property (their neighbours) on the outskirts of Landsborough, the property was just gorgeous, oozing in country love – which suited this family to their core , with a view not to be missed.

This beautiful family has not had any portraits done since the youngest sibling was a tiny baby – So  needless to say, I wanted to give this family a experience to remember. I wanted to explain in pictures & laughter, that not all photographers are in the need, to have families standing still with their cheesy stiff faces on…

Yes I think i told a terribly bad joke here or there but hey I think they had fun. Be the judge by the attached image of this gorgeous family.

I met the gorgeous “S” family down at Dicky Beach in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast for their family portrait photo shoot 2 weeks ago. This session has been on the cards for about 2 months as dad works away so slotting a time for everyone to be in the one place, easter holiday breaks, my son breaking his leg & having the weather co-operate with our photo shoot schedual times had been near impossible… Finally everyone was home & the weather was gorgeous, the day before was just pouring so I think we were definitely blessed at the timing of this shoot… There are way too many beautiful images from this shoot - I can’t choose which to blog as there are just so many, so I am only going to blog 1 image from the session, and keep everyone in suspense hehe..

Thanks guys for a fantastic session your gallery is ready and I can not wait to have your fine art Canvas order in the studio for you so you can start adorning your walls!

Do you remember gorgeous baby Sloan‘s 6 weeks old session? which was held at the Glasshouse Mountains??

We were booked in to do a few family photos at the time of little Sloan’s baby session, at the time of the baby session just before Christmas the rain was just relentless. We have had to reschedual the session a whopping 7 times so I will have to say 7 is a very lucky number for this family!

On our 7th attempt the weather was just beautiful ….. and what a perfect day it was for this gorgeous family! Ginger did beautifully dressing everyone for the occasion I just LOVED Ginger’s dress so beautifully coloured & co-ordinated with her baby girl & the boys were cuties too The R family are from the city & have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and wanted images within the reserves/bushland  to showcase and reflect how & where they are living and enjoying life now Please enjoy this pre-view of the gorgeous family & location..

Look at the lovely beauty now…. I just Love that 6/9 month age bracket so so incredibly cheeky thats for sure…

A sooc (straight out of the camera) image is just that with no editing or retouching what so ever. A basic edit of a digital image is just that BASIC my basic edits includes the adjustments of exposures, contracts & any white balance adjustments that need to be made.. ie: so you don’t look green like an alien or blue like a jelly bean! The white balance & skin tones are something that needs attention especially with newborns as most of the time can have red or blotchy skin before it settles down.

My final image will have colours saturated – touches to highlights & shadow’s as well as colours that would look brilliant popped you can see in mums dress & the sunset which is coming down behind the tree’s in this image that over in the basic image your hard up to see that beautiful glowing light behind the tree’s! Imagine how boring this image would look on the wall without these polished finishing touches to “make an image art”. These are just a few of the things that are done to make an image polished! The example below is of a basic edit & a final retouched image.

I am also going to do a post on  print labs also & why photographers are very resistant in giving/selling digital negatives… I will have examples from different labs so you can see the difference & have an understanding as to why the professional photographer cringes when they see certain printed images from certain labs – you might never of really noticed until the up-coming post.

I went into a clients home a few weeks ago and saw an image from a session we had done months prior, the family had this image printed at a chemist/cheap lab and the image was “grey” I squirmed when I saw the image because it was nothing like the finished colours of the final image I had produced so this in a clients home was not a true representation of my work. I just want to educate my clients that there really are HUGE differences when choosing a lab for printing images depending on the lab… The professional lab that I use for all my prints come exactly the same colour from my digital image on screen as it does when it is fine printed at the professional Lab ))

Just a peek…

Thanks to everyone that helped me in this venture I couldn’t of done it without all you important people.. I’m a girl with a vision & a camera ) Jodie ~

The Theme was “space men” if you follow me over on “Facebook” you will know that my youngest monkey Jordy has fallen out of a tree & is in traction until further notice… So needless to say we have been at the hospital around the clock! (makes for one very tired mummy & daddy) So i literally had an hour to think of something “spacey”…. thats it MOON SHOES he will loves those – so thats exactly what I did I will have to give a load of credit to “MR SQUIGGLE” the man from the moon – Mr Squiggles shoes are totally awesome?? I thought so!!!

We had never been to a disco and a dress up one was even tougher… how far do you go??? well we did moon boots, muscle bands & a space hat that should do it…. ah yes it did I felt a tad embarrassed turning up so moonfully out there… meh oh well have fun Locky as we sat in our chairs hiding lol…. He was awesome the disco was fun all in all a great night….
